The Bicol Volcanoes is a professional basketball team representing the Region of Bicol in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). The team is one of the six (6) expansion teams in the 2019-2020 season also known as the Lakan Season..
In its maiden season, the team registered a win-loss record of 16-14 which was good enough to earn the eighth (8th) seed in the South Division. The Bicol Volcanoes almost eliminated the heavily-favored Davao Occidental Tigers in the first round of the playoffs but they fell short, 1-2, in their best of three series.
For the MPBL Invitational Tournament on 11-23 December 2021, the team retooled its lineup and recruited marquee players such as Mark Yee and Chico Lanete. You can view the lineup of other MPBL teams here and the team standings of the team here!
