The Imus Buracai De Laiya is a professional basketball team representing the City of Imus, Cavite in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). The team is one of the ten (10) founding members of the MPBL during its inaugural season known as the Anta Rajah Cup which opened on 25 January 2018. The team was then known as the Imus Banderas and it unfortunately placed second to the last after posting a 2-7 record in the eliminations.
Imus Banderas improved its record in the 2018-2019 season or the Datu Cup as they won 11 out of 25 games (11-14) which allowed them to enter the playoffs. They however bowed out of contention after they were eliminated by the Batangas City Athletics in the first round of the Playoffs.
For the MPBL Invitational Tournament on 11-23 December 2021, the team rebranded as the Imus Buracai De Laiya with much of its roster composed of former players of the Barangay Tanduay Athletics. You can view the lineup of other MPBL teams here and the team standings of the team here!
