The Adamson Falcons is the collegiate basketball varsity team of the Adamson University (AdU) in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the premiere collegiate basketball league in the country. It is one of the eight (8) member teams competing in the UAAP which was founded in 1938.
Adamson first joined the UAAP as a probationary member in 1952 together with the University of the East (UE), Manila Central University (MCU) and University of Manila. Unfortunately, Adamson was unable to meet the requirements in order to become a permanent member of the UAAP.
Adamson reapplied for admission to the UAAP in 1970 and it was finally accepted after a two-year probationary period. It hosted the 1974-75 season. A few years later, Adamson won its first Championship trophy in the 1977-78 or Season 40. It was, however, its only championship to date and it holds the longest championship drought among the current UAAP teams. Can Adamson finally end its title drought?
