The Philippines is the host of the 2022 AVC Cup for Women which will be held on 21 to 29 of August 2022 at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City. The Philippines Women's Volleyball National team is represented by Jia De Guzman, Kyle Negrito, Alyssa Valdez, Fille Cayetano, Rosemarie Vargas and Jema Galanza.
Other members of the team are Celine Domingo, Risa Sato, Jeanette Panaga, Pau Soriano and Michelle Gumabao. Completing the squad are Tots Carlos, Ella De Jesus and Kyla Atienza. These players are also the members of Creamline Cool Smashers who recently won the 2022 PVL Invitational Conference. As the champions, they earned the privilege of representing the Philippines in this year's edition of the AVC Cup for women.

The Philippines made its debut in the AVC Cup for Women in 2018 in Thailand. The team, however, had a rude welcome as they finished in 9th place out of 10 teams. This year is the very first time that the Philippines will host the AVC Cup for Women. Incidentally, this is also the second time that the country will participate since the 2020 edition was cancelled due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
The Philippines will face Vietnam on August 21, 2022 at 07:00. They will have a free time the next day before returning to the hardcourt to battle powerhouse China on August 23, 2022 at 07:00 PM.
On August 24, 2022, the Philippine squad will then compete with Iran, another tall team also at 07:00 PM. Finally, the last game for team Philippines is on August 25, 2022 at 07:00 PM against South Korea.
