After Hesed Gabo led the Rice Vanguards in game 1, game 2 was Jay Collado's time to shine as he spearheaded the Vanguards' offense with 13 points, including 3 consecutive triples that catapulted the Rice Vanguards to a commanding lead in the third quarter.
Michael Juico added 12 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, and 3 steals after going scoreless in the first game. Michael Mabulac also contributed 10 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.
Jaycee Marcelino delivered another superb performance with 26 points for the Family's Brand Sardines but his efforts turned to naught as they lost for the 2nd time in a row. Only Chito Jaime was the other player from Zamboanga to score in double digits with 12 points.
