The Cignal HD Spikers ended its campaign in the 2023 PVL Invitational Conference in a winning note after whipping the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers, 3-1, in their battle for third match at the Philsports Arena, Pasig City on July 30, 2023.
Cignal clinched the inaugural set after a thrilling 25-22 victory. Thereafter, the Cargo Movers avenged their loss in the first set with an equally exciting 25-23 finish in the second set.
The Cignal HD Spikers then dominated the last two (2) sets. In the third set, they outlasted the Cargo Movers, 25-20 before bagging the bronze medal with a dominant 25-18 in the fourth (4th) and final set.
Frances Molina and and Jovelyn Gonzaga powered the HD Spikers' offense with 19 and 18 points respectively. The two (2) were likewise vital in defense as they posted 1 and 4 blocks each. As for Jovelyn Gonzaga, she also added 17 excellent digs and 8 excellent receptions.
Rachel Anne Daquis contributed 6 points including 2 aces. Roselyn Doria was likewise instrumental in Cignal's win given her 10 points output.
Ivy Lacsina led F2 Logistics Cargo Movers with 16 points off 15 spikes and 1 ace. She was backstopped by Abby Marano who chipped in 10 points. On the defensive end, Marionne Alba produced 12 excellent digs, 14 excellent sets, while dropping 5 points.
