The UAAP Season 86 Men's Basketball Tournament will open on September 30, 2023. The Ateneo Blue Eagles will stake their title on the line as the seven (7) other teams will try to dethrone them.
All teams have been building up their squad leading to the opening of Season 86. The defending champions Ateneo Blue Eagles had a camp in Australia and Japan while the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons went to Serbia and Korea for their buildup.
The De La Salle University Green Archers also went overseas for training as they aim to move on from a disappointing campaign last season as they failed to enter the final four despite having high profile talents. This season, they have a new coach in Topex Robinson who will guide Mike Philipps and Evan Nelle for another ride to the championship.
