Only four (4) teams remain the 2023 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Playoffs. The Batangas Embassy Chill arranged a clash with the Bacoor City Strikers for the South Division Finals.
Meanwhile, the San Juan Knights eliminated the defending champions Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards to return to the North Division Finals where they will face the league-leading Pampanga Giant Lanterns. You can check out the complete MPBL Playoffs results per game here.
The Pampanga Giant Lanterns will host the San Juan Knights on November 11, 2023 at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center. This will be the first North Division Finals appearance for the Pampanga Giant Lanterns while the San Juan Knights are already on their 4th consecutive North Division Finals appearance.
It will also be the very first division finals appearance for the Bacoor City Strikers who only managed to reach as far as the division semifinals in the past seasons. As for the Batangas Embassy Chill, they aim to be the very first team to repeat as national champions.
Last season, the Batangas Embassy Chill were deprived of the chance to gun for their 2nd national championship trophy after they were eliminated by the Zamboanga Family's Brand Sardines in the division finals. Batangas aims to move on from that loss and are determined to bring back the national championship crown to Batangas.
