The 2023 PVL (Premiere Volleyball League) season ended with a bang after the Creamline Cool Smashers swept its sister team Choco Mucho Flying Titans in the best-of-three finals series of the 2nd PVL All-Filipino Conference. The finals between the PVL's most popular squads created history as the 2nd game of their series drew 24,459 fans at the Araneta Coliseum.
2023 was indeed a remarkable season for the PVL and teams are already heating up their preparations for the 2024 season which will start with the 1st All-Filipino Conference on February 17, 2024. A reinforced conference is slated at the middle of the year and another All-Filipino Conference is scheduled at the end of 2024.
Perhaps the biggest news after the end of 2023 is the disbandment of the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers. Once a promising team composed of collegiate volleyball stars, F2 never tasted a championship in the PVL although it was a dominant force in the defunct Philippine Super Liga (PSL).
With the disbandment of the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers, the other teams wasted no time in recruiting the stars of F2. Ara Galang and Abby Maraño found a new home with the Chery Tiggo Crossovers. Meanwhile, Kim Kiana Dy, Kim Fajardo and Majoy Baron transferred to the PLDT High Speed Hitters where they will reunite with fellow La Sallian Mika Reyes.
Other major players of F2 also announced their new teams. Ivy Lacsina will represent the Nxled Chameleons while Dawn Macandili and Jovelyn Fernandez joined the Cignal HD Spikers. Mars Alba chose to go with the Choco Mucho Flying Titans. Several notable players will also change jerseys next conference.
Creamline Cool Smashers added Bea De Leon and Denden Lazaro-Revilla of the Choco Mucho Flying Titans. Nonetheless, Creamline will be without Ced Domingo who is set to play for the Akari Chargers.
