The Mindoro Tamaraws joined the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) during the Lakan Cup or the 2019-2020 season. Unfortunately, the team has yet to find success as it has consistently ranked in the bottom of the standings.
Nonetheless, the Mindoro Tamaraws recruited notable players in the off season to bolster its roster for the 2024 season of the MPBL. ex-PBA players Paul Desiderio, Teytey Teodoro, Justin Melton, Magi Sison and Ken Bono will take their talent to the Mindoro Tamaraws.
The team also recruited MPBL veterans and those with experience in the PBA 3x3 circuit such as Andrew Estrella, Jordan Rios, Jayvee Dela Cruz and Rodel Vaygan who is also a homegrown player of Mindoro.
