The Parañaque Patriots is one of the founding ten (10) teams of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) during its inaugural season in 2018. The team, however, has yet to find success as it only manage to reach the playoffs once during the inaugural season.
Last season, the Patriots registered a losing record of 11-17 which was not enough to enter the playoffs. For the 2024 season, the team signed veteran players to complement its young core made up of collegiate players from the University of Perpetual Help Altas.
Notable acquisitions during the offseason includes Mark Yee, the 2019-2020 (Lakan season) Finals MVP, and John Ray Villanueva from the Batangas City Athletics. Former champions JP Sarao and Philip Manalang from the Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards likewise brough their talent to the Patriots camp.
