The much-awaited UAAP Men's Basketball is back once again for the 2024 UAAP Season 87. The De La Salle Green Archers will have a target on their back as they will defend their crown against the other seven (7) teams, especially the UP Fighting Maroons who have suffered a back-to-back bridesmaid finish.
The DLSU Green Archers and the UP Fighitng Maroons remain as the heavy favorites to return to the UAAP Finals. Despite receiving juicy offers from foreign clubs, Kevin Quiambao will return to the DLSU Green Archers to lead his team to a repeat. Aside from him, the Green Archers will parade blue chip recruits in Henry Agunane, Liane Ramiro, Andrei Dungo and Alex Konov.
The Fighting Maroons are of course not to be outdone in terms of recruiting. They have signed 6'10 Quentin Millora-Brown to beef up its frontcourt. Transferee Gani Stevens and rookie Jacob Bayla will also play for the UP Fighting Maroons who are looking to reclaim the championship trophy.
