MPBL Prospect: Harold Alarcon


Harold Alarcon is emerging as one of the promising talents in Philippine basketball, eyeing a spot in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). Standing at 6'1", Alarcon plays the guard position with a combination of skill, vision, and leadership on the court.

Born on March 18, 2002, in Silay City, Negros Occidental, Alarcon is now 23 years old and has already carved out an impressive basketball resume. He honed his skills at the University of the Philippines (UP), where he became a key figure in the Fighting Maroons program.

Alarcon’s journey began with the NUNS Bullpups in the UAAP Juniors, where he showcased his potential and laid the foundation for his collegiate career. He later joined the UP Fighting Maroons, contributing to the team’s success in the UAAP, winning two championships during his tenure.

In addition to traditional 5-on-5 play, Alarcon also represented UP in the UAAP 3x3 tournaments, demonstrating his versatility and adaptability in different formats of the game. He further added to his accolades with a championship run in the Filoil tournaments, solidifying his reputation as a winner and a clutch performer.
