Caloocan Batang Kankaloo Roster for MPBL 2026 Pre-season Invitational

MPBL Caloocan Batang Kankaloo Lineup

The Caloocan Batang Kankaloo enters the 2026 MPBL Pre-Season Invitational with a clear objective: finish what it could not last December 2025.

The Batang Kankaloo were swept by the Abra Weavers in the North Division Semifinals in 2025, a loss that exposed depth issues and late-game execution lapses. Management responded aggressively in the offseason.

The biggest acquisition is Kean Baclaan, the 5-foot-7 guard fresh off leading the DLSU Green Archers to the UAAP Season 88 championship. Baclaan opted to forego his final collegiate year to turn professional with Caloocan, immediately giving the team a proven floor leader with championship experience.

Caloocan also bolstered its lineup with Dominic Escobar from Ateneo, who is expected to arrive from the US on February 11, and versatile 6-foot-4 forward Jake Gaspay from College of Saint Benilde.

Frontcourt reinforcements arrived in the form of Jammer Jamito (6’5”) and Rob Celiz (6’4”), both transferees from the Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards, who are taking a leave of absence this 2026 season. Eric Camson from the Rizal Golden Coolers also transferred to Caloocan. Their size and experience add stability to a team that struggled with consistency in high-pressure situations last year.

The returning core remains intact. Jeramer Cabanag provides veteran leadership in the backcourt, while Rommel Calahat, Prince Casin, and JJ Manlangit strengthen the perimeter rotation. Inside, Ronnie Matias, Paul Sanga and Jun Bonsubre give the Batang Kankaloo length and physicality.

Guards Irven Palencia, Joey Barcuma, Joco Tayongtong, Jielo Razon, and Chris Bitoon round out a deeper and more balanced roster.

With a blend of collegiate champions, seasoned MPBL veterans, and new reinforcements, Caloocan enters the preseason not just as a playoff contender, but as a legitimate threat in the North Division. This time, the Batang Kankaloo appear built to go further..
