The General Santos Warriors is a professional basketball team representing the city of General Santos in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). The team is one of the expansion teams that joined the MPBL in its second season known as the Datu Cup which ran from 12 June 2018 to 25 April 2019.
The team ended the elimination round of the Datu Cup as the fourth (4th) seed but they eventually lost to the fifth (5th) place Bacoor City Strikers in their 1st round playoff match. In the succeeding season, the General Santos Warriors rebuilt around Mickey Williams and added veterans Pamboy Raymundo and Robi Celiz. However, they still failed to advance to the championships.
As the team is looking to take home its first ever championship trophy, the General Santos Warriors have recruited key players including Pamboy Raymundo and celebrity baller Gerald Anderson.
