Batangas City is back in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) after more than two (2) years of hiatus and a leave of absence in the MPBL Invitational Tournament last December 2021. The team is still supported by Tanduay but it now carries a new monicker, Batangas City Embassy Chill, inspired by Tanduay's Embassy Whisky brand.
Twenty (20) teams will compete in the MPBL 2022 Regular season and Batangas City hopes to clinch another title after winning the championship in the inaugural season of the MPBL. Batangas City will face the Imus Banderas in the second game of MPBL's opening day on April 25, 2022.

Head Coach: Cholo Villanueva
The revamped roster of the Batangas City Embassy Chill, formerly called the Batangas City Athletics, is composed mainly of the core of the Makati City Supercrunch which includes Jeckster Apinan, Cedric Ablaza, Rudy Lingganay, and Jong Baloria who are all ex-PBA players. Head Coach Cholo Villanueva, who also coached Makati, likewise took his talent to Batangas City.
Complementing ex-Makati players are Levi Hernandez who is one of MPBL's prolific scorers. He will surely add firepower to Batangas City's offense. Big men John Amboludto and Dawn Ochea will patrol the paint.
