The Mindoro Tamaraws will return to the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) with a revamped lineup in the hopes of winning the championship trophy. The Tamaraws are now backed by CDO Idol Cheesedog and the PBA Partylist.
Twenty (20) teams will compete in the MPBL 2022 Regular Season with the inaugural champion Batangas City and the 2018 Datu Cup Champions San Juan Knights. Can the Mindoro Tamarawas bring home the championship this season?

The Mindoro Tamaraws is not as stacked compared to the perennial contenders such as the San Juan Knights and Nueva Ecija Rivce Vanguards since only Teytey Teodoro appears to be the only familiar name. Nonetheless, the Tamaraws may enjoy the element of surprise considering that many of its players are below the radar.
Other notable players in the lineup of the Mindoro Tamaraws is Christian Palma who is one of the players under the tutelage of Coach Mav of Mav's Phenomenal, a very popular channel in Youtube. Dariel Bayla who gained experience playing in the NCAA Philippines and in the MPBL Invitational Tournament will also play a key role for Mindoro which is looking to barge into the playoffs and avoid another bottom finish.
