The Bataan Risers will battle the Pampanga Giant Lanterns on a do-or-die game 3 of their best-of-three series at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, San Fernando Pampanga at 06:30 PM on November 04, 2022. The 5th seeded Risers will try to upset the 4th seeded Giant Lanterns in what is expected to be a raucous match before the home crowd of Pampanga.
To recall, the Pampanga Giant lanterns won the first game after they escaped the hot shooting of the Bataan Risers, 82-75, in Palayan City, Nueva Ecija. Archie Concepcion scored 21 points while Dominick Vera and Jammer Jamito added 18 and 15 points respectively to lead the Pampanga Giant Lanterns in the said win.
The Bataan Risers, however, fought back in game 2 as they managed to even the series at 1-1 behind the heroics of Kris Torrado who dropped 22 points on top of 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. Arvie Bringas added 16 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block for the risers. Gio Espuelas also added 9 points, including the two (2) crucia free throws that sent the game to overtime.
