The 2023 season of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) is just a few months away as it is slated to open on March 10, 2023. As early as now, the teams are already boosting their respective lineup in order to compete against the contenders, especially the Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards.
MUNTINLUPA CAGERS
The Muntinlupa Cagers posted on their Facebook Page that they will hold a two-day tryout on January 12 (2:00 PM) to 13 (08:00 AM), 2023 at the Angelis Resort Basketball Court. The Cagers are looking for players who have experience playing in various leagues such as the MPBL, NBL, PSL, UAAP, NCAA and Filbasket. If you are interested to join, just bring a dark and light jersey and proceed to the the tryout venue at the indicated time and venue.

NEGROS MUSCOVADOS
The Negros Muscovados team will return to the MPBL after skipping the 2022 Regular Season. To recall, the Muscovados first joined the MPBL during the 2021 Chooks-to-Go Invitational Tournament which was eventually won by the Basilan Steel.
Those who want to join the MPBL, or the Negros Muscovados in particular, can participate in the tryouts which will be held on January 17-18, 2023 at the Silvergraces Gym, 5th Road Puentebella Subdivision, Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City.
MARIKINA SHOEMASTERS
The Marikina Shoemasters have never missed a season since joining the MPBL. They will again return for the 2023 season and are looking for players to beef up their roster after losing their top scorer, Enzo Joson, to the General Santos Warriors.
The Shoemasters are hosting a tryout on January 09, 2023 at the Marikina Sports Center. Those who want to participate are advised to bring a light and dark jersey.
SARANGANI MARLINS
The Sarangani Marlins are also looking for talents who can elevate their team and hopefully bring them deep to the playoffs. The Marlins will hold a tryouts on January 09, 2023 at the Boost Basketball Court in Caloocan City from 07:30 AM to 10:00 AM.
