The Muntinlupa Cagers, one of the 10 pioneer teams, will return for the 5th season of the MPBL (Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League). They reached the finals of the 1st season, but they were unable to replicate their success in the succeeding editions of the tournament.
The team, nonetheless, revitalized its lineup in the hopes of conquering the next season and dethroning the Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards. Not only did the cagers added reliable guards, they also recruited athletic big men, particularly Kenmark Carino, who can dominate inside.

Alongside Kenmark Carino, Jessie Saitanan, Chad Alonzo, King Destacamento, Rom Mangalino and Jed Salaveria will man the paint. Ian Melencio and Tonton Peralta will lead the attack by the guards.
Biboy Enguio will relish his role as one of the key players of Muntilupa. Meanwhile, John Amores who was recently involved in a controversy will take his talent to the MPBL in the hopes of redeeming himself.
