A handful of rookies will grace the upcoming 2023 PVL (Premiere Volleyball League) Invitational Conference which is slated to open on 27 June 2023. 13 teams, including two (2) foreign guest teams, will vie for the mid-year conference trophy which was won by Creamline last year.
The Foton Tornadoes, Gerflor Defenders and the Farm Fresh are the three (3) newest local teams. In a bid to compete in their maiden season in the PVL, these teams enlisted the services of up-and-coming players.

The Chery Tiggo Crossovers are on a signing spree as they recruited marquee rookies from the collegiate ranks. Perhaps the biggest rookie signing for the Crossovers is Eya Laure who was the the leader of the UST Golden Tigresses and the UAAP season 85 where she averaged 18.86 points per game.
Aside from Eya Laure, the Crossovers also brought her UST Teammate in Imee Hernandez. EJ Laure will also reunite with her older sister, EJ Laure.
The Chery Tiggo Crossoves also recruited several standouts from the National University (NU) Lady Bulldogs program. Jennifer Nierva, Joyme Cagande and Princess Robles will surely bring their championship experience to the Chery Tiggo Crossovers.
Two of Ateneo Lady Eagles' biggest stars in the recently concluded UAAP season have also turned professionals. These are Faith Nisperos who decided to sign with the Akari Chargers. Her teammate Vanie Gandler will join the Cignal HD Spikers.
The UP Fighting Maroons lost its rising star Alyssa Bertolano after she foregone her playing years in the UAAP and signed with the Gerflor Defenders. She only played for two (2) years in the UAAP.
Meanwhile, Sisi Rondina will finally make her professional debut in the indoor volleyball after playing beach volleyball. She will reinforce the Choco Mucho Flying Titans.
