The DLSU Lady Spikers are seriously preparing for their title-defense in the upcoming season of the UAAP Women's Volleyball Tournament after they snatched the crown from the NU Lady Bulldogs in the recently concluded Season 85 of the UAAP. The team will participate in the upcoming 2023 Shakey's Super League National Invitationals from July 29 to August 12, 2023.
With several players from its champion squad turning professional such as Marionne Alba and Fifi Sharma, the current crop of Lady Spikers are mostly made up of rookies. Thea Gagate and Shevana will definitely step up to lead their young teammates.

The DLSU Lady Spikers are bracketed in Pool A together with University of Perpetual Help Dalta and University of Southern Philippines Foundation. On 29 July 2023, the Lady Spikers will battle UPHD. They will then face the USPF team on August 01.
