It's been a while since the UST Golden Tigresses last won the championship trophy in the UAAP Women's Volleyball Tournament. In the hopes of finally ending that drought, the UST Golden Tigresses will participate in the 2023 Shakey's National Invitational.
With the departure of its superstar Eya Laure as well as Aimee Hernandez, the UST Golden Tigresses will rely on some of the holdovers, including Bernadett Pepito and Regina Jurado to skipper the team in the upcoming UAAP Season 86.

The UST Golden Tigresses join De La Salle Dasmarinas (DLSD) and University of San Jose Recoletos (USJR) in Pool B of the tournament. They will battle USJR on July 30, 2023 before facing DLSD on August 01, 2023.
