2023 PVL Invitational Conference Individual Statistics: Best Scorers, Best Spikers, Best Blockers, Best Servers, Best Diggers, Best Receivers

The 2023 Invitational Conference of the Premiere Volleyball League (PVL) was definitely a success as more teams joined the league. Farm Fresh Foxies, Gerflor Defenders and the Foton Tornadoes increased the number of participating teams to 11.

With more teams, there are new names comprising the top five (5) list of the various skillsets in volleyball. From scoring to digging, there are young players who are rising to succeed the veteran volleybelles.

There's a new scoring queen in the PVL. After honing her game in the beach volleyball department, Sisi Rondina returned to indoor volleyball in a dominating fashion. She scored a total of 104 points after the end of the 2023 PVL Invitational Conference pool play.

Grethcel Soltones made her Petro Gazz teammates proud for capturing the 2nd best scorer title. She totaled 101 points for the elimination round. Kim Kiana Dy of the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers was injured at the latter part of the conference but she still made a mark as the 3rd best scorer in the elimination round with 76 points. She is tied at 4th place together with Jonah Sabete of the Petro Gazz Angels who also scored 76 points.

Tots Carlos retained her title as the top spiker in the PVL Invitational conference. She recorded a success rate of 47.79% to emerge as PVL's top spiker after the end of the pool play of the 2023 PVL Invitational Conference.

Newcomer Sisi Rondina is the second best spiker with her own success rate of 39.57%. She recently returned to indoor volleyball after plying her trade in beach volleyball. Jonah Sabete, Jovely Gonzaga and Grethcel Soltones are the third to fifth placers with averages of 39.13%, 34.06% and 33.21% respectively.

The blocking department is a competitive field as the top three (3) blockers are separated by a hairline of a difference. Chery Nunag of the Choco Mucho Flying Titans is the top blocker of the 2023 PVL Invitational Conference with an average of 0.79 block per set.

She is closely followed by Jai Atienza of Foton Tornadoes and Ced Domingo of the Creamline Cool Smashers who averaged 0.78 and 0.77 blocks per set respectively. Mylene Paat comes in fourth with a production of 0.69 block per set. Ria Meneses and Rose Doria are tied at fifth (5th) place with similar averages of 0.65 block per set.

Jema Galanza and Jia De Guzman are tied as the best servers after the end of the pool play of the 2023 PVL invitational conference. The two averaged 0.62 aces per set.

Alyssa Bertolano came in at second place with her own average of 0.43 aces per set. She is followed by Rose Doria who owns a record of 0.41 aces per set. Mylene Paat and Joyme Cagande of the Chery Tiggo Crossovers

Digging might not be a sexy statistic but it is also important to winning a game. In this aspect of the game, diminutive Dawn Macandili-Catindig is the best in the league as she averaged 5.85 digs per set.

Kath Arado of the PLDT High Speed Hitters is in close second (2nd) place with her own production of 5.71 digs per set. The Farm Fresh Foxies is one of the newest team in the league but it was able to produce a player in the top five (5) in Cae Lazo who recorded an average of 3.65 per set. Cienne Cruz, Jovelyn Gonzaga and Bang Pineda completes the top five (5) with averages of 3.10, 2.88 and 2.88 respectively.

Julia De Guzman of Creamline Cool Smashers is presently the Best Setter in the 2022 PVL Invitational Conference. She registered an average of 6.62 per set. Relea Ferina Saet is the second best setter with her own output of 5.30 sets per set.

Ivy Perez of the Army Lady Troopers took the 3rd place best setter after giving 5.27 toss per set. She is followed by Rhea Dimaculangan of the PLDT High Speed Hitters who provided an average of 5.00 sets per set to hear teammates.

Kath Arado is not only a key player in terms of digging, she is also a top receiver in the league. She excellently received 51.90% of her first touches. Who says that rookies cannot enter the top five (5) rankings in any category? Alyssa Bertolano definitely proved them wrong as she ended up in second place on the top receivers list.

Kate Santiago of Farm Fresh is also one of the new players in the list, securing the third spot with efficiency of 41.74%. Cienne Cruz is at fourth (4th) place with 39.23% efficiency while Eya Laure completes the list with efficiency of 37.21%.
