Despite having a depleted lineup, especially in its frontline, with the loss of Kenneth Villapando, Egie Boy Mojica and Ron Dennison who are out due to injuries, as well as Jeff Tajonera who was ejected from the game due to a technical and unsportsmanlike foul, the San Juan Knights were able to outrebound the Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards, 43-39 which led to 16 2nd chance points, which is five (5) more than the Rice Vanguards' 11 2nd chance points.
