The San Juan Knights completed a stunning sweep of the Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards in the North Division Semifinals with a convincing 88-80 win at the homecourt of the Rice Vanguards. With the loss, the Rice Vanguards failed to defend their championship crown.

Michael Calisaan peaked at the right time as he delivered his best game so far of the season with 30 points, 18 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 steals. Adrian Nocum and Nikko Panganiban chipped in 17 and 12 points respectively.

Despite having a depleted lineup, especially in its frontline, with the loss of Kenneth Villapando, Egie Boy Mojica and Ron Dennison who are out due to injuries, as well as Jeff Tajonera who was ejected from the game due to a technical and unsportsmanlike foul, the San Juan Knights were able to outrebound the Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards, 43-39 which led to 16 2nd chance points, which is five (5) more than the Rice Vanguards' 11 2nd chance points.


The San Juan Knights shot more efficiently from the field as they sunk 51% of their field goal attempts. They also shot better from beyond the arc with a shooting percentage of 55%.
