Team Zamboanga City will now be known as the Zamboanga Master Sardines for the 2024 MPBL Regular season which is slated to open on March 23, 2024. With the twin turbos, Jayvee and Jaycee Marcelino, staying put with the team, the Zamboanga Master Sardines aim to complete their unfinished business of winning the championship.
Aside from the Marcelino twins, several other core members of the team are likewise returning. John Mahari, Ralph Tansingco and Adrian Santos will still play for Zamboanga City.
To stay relevant in the MPBL which has become more and more competitive through the years, Zamboanga Master Sardines enlisted notable players to bolster its squad. The team acquired the services of big men Jayboy Solis, Chito Jaime, Mark Omega and Joseph Gabayni.

Unfortunately for Zamboanga, they lost the services of prolific guard Judel Fuentes who transferred to the Quezon Huskers. Dexter Maiquez is also gone from the team as he reportedly rejoined the San Juan Knights.
