The Tarlac United Force is the latest team to join the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL), along with the Abra Weavers and the Pangasinan Heatwaves. With just a short time to assemble a competitive team, Tarlac United Force held tryouts to recruit homegrown and free agent players.
The team has enlisted several ex-PBA players to bolster and guide the team including Dan Sara and Monbert Arong. Several MPBL veterans such as Marlon Gomez, Mon Mabayo, Roberto Bartolo and Gab Reyes will also play for Tarlac.
Other players for the Tarlac United Force are homegrown player Reggie Morido, Wilson Baltazar, Drick Acosta, Renz Capulong, VJ Acosta, Mark Maloles and Gilbert Ocampo. Team Tarlac United Force franchise is owned by Nicanor Reyes IV. He will initially coach the team but he will eventually be replaced by coach John Flores.
