The Maharlika Pilipinas Volleyball Association (MPVA) is the newest semi-professional volleyball league in the Philippines. Founded by Manny Pacquiao, the MPVA is the volleyball version of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) proved to be a success.
Similar to the MPBL, the MPVA features LGU-based volleyball teams. For its inaugural season, eight (8) teams are competing for the chance of winning the inaugural championship trophy. The eight pioneer teams include the Negros Blue Hawks, Marikina Lady Shoemasters, San Juan Lady Knights, Rizal Golden Coolers, Bacoor Lady Strikers, Nasipit Lady Spikers, Binan Tatak Gel and Caloocan AM Spikers.
