The Brew Authoritea is a professional basketball team participating in the Mindanao Leg of the Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup which is tentatively slated to open on 30 May 2021 in Dipolog City. The team was supposed to partner with the Local Government Unit of Cagayan De Oro City but the latter respectfully declined. Hence, the team remains without an LGU partner.
The Visayas Leg of the VisMin Super Cup was already completed with the Mandaue KCS Computer Specialists team emerging as the champion after they dumped the Talisay Aquastars, 2-1, in their best-of-three (3) championship series. Mandaue awaits the champion of the Mindanao Leg which will also be played in a bubble-type setup and a double round-robin format. The winner between the Visayas and Mindanao leg champions will be proclaimed as the grand champion.

The 32-year old Gerald Anderson will return to the hard court with a new team after a more than a year of hiatus from competitive basketball due to the pandemic. Backstopping the Brew Authoritea team will be team captain JR Cawaling and ex-Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) players Ronjay Buenafe, Mac Baracael, Reil Cervantes, and Joseph Sedurifa.
Other ex-pros are Roider Cabrera of Columbian Dyip and Jason Ballesteros of the Meralco Bolts. Completing the squad are MPBL players Paul Sanga who last played for the Caloocan Supremos, Lucas Tagarda of the Batangas City Athletics, Andoy Estrella of the San Juan Knights, Francis Munsayac of Navotas Unipak Sardines, Ivan Brylle Meca also of Navotas Unipak Sardines, and Ralph Salcedo of Pampanga Giant Lanterns.
Coach Vis Valencia of the Quezon City Capitals will give directions on the sideline for the Brew Authoritea team owned by Mr. Mogs Gonzales.
