The 46th season of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), the oldest professional basketball league in Asia is currently undergoing. Unfortunately, the league had to suspend the season midway as the recent surge in Covid-19 cases brought about by the Delta variant constrained the national and local government to implement an Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) status in Metro Manila where the games are being played.
Be that as it may, we list down below the players who have shown exemplary performances in different skill sets.

Matthew Wright of the Phoenix Super LPG leads the PBA so far in terms of scoring per game. His average per game of 19.75 is the highest among all players after four games through the season.
Greg Slaughter who had been traded from the Ginebra to the Northport Batang Pier team proved that he still what it takes to be a dominant bigman in the league. While he did not play in the team's first two games, he immediately made an impact in the two games that he played where he scored an average of 18.80 points per game.
Closely trailing Greg Slaughter is Vic Manuel also of Phoenix Super LPG who posted an average of 18.50 points per outing.

Greg Slaughter tops the league in terms of the rebounding department. The 7-footer big man is norming 15.50 rebounds per match in the two games that he played for the Northport Batang Pier. In second place is Christian Stanhardinger who is grabbing an average of 13.00 boards per game. It will be remembered that Greg Slaughter was traded by Barangay Ginebra to the Northport Batang Pier for Christian Stanhardinger. The way it is looking so far, it appears that the trade is bearing fruit for Northport, but it remains to be seen if Greg can keep his amazing plays throughout the season.
Rookie Roosevelt Adams of the Columbian Dyip is making his self known to the league as he is posting an average of 11.75 rebounds per outing. Following him in fourth place is Troy Rosario with 10.67 boards per game while Scottie Thompson completes the top 5 with his own record of 10.25 boards per match.

Jayson Castro proves that age is just a number as he continues to be a reliable court general as he is averaging 6.67 assists per game to lead the PBA midway through the season. The younger Kiefer Ravena of NLEX who recently signed a contract to play in the B.League of Japan is in second place with his average of 6.50 dimes per game.
Robert Bolick of the Northport Batang Pier joins the fray with an average of 6 assists per game. Trailing him at fourth place is Mark Barroca of Magnolia who is averaging 5.50 passes per game.

Will McAloney who previously played in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) is showing that he also deserves to play in the professional ranks as he is tied with Scottie Thompson in second place with a record of 2 blocks per game.
