The 1Bataan Risers is a professional basketball team representing the province of Bataan in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). The team was one of the founding members of the MPBL when it was initially known as the Bataan Defenders during the inaugural season or the Anta Rajah Cup.
The team then changed sponsors in the next season or the Datu Cup as well as its team name to Bataan Risers. During the Datu Cup, the Bataan Risers took the top seed in the Northern Division but they failed to advance to the National Finals after they were eliminated by the Manila Stars in the Northern Division Semifinals.

Unlike previous seasons when the Bataan Risers was bannered by several ex-PBA players, the new-look Bataan Risers is powered by mostly homegrown players. Veteran homegrown players Arvie Bringas, Jhong Bondoc, and James Darwin Castro will have their hands full leading the team.
Completing the list of homegrown players are Gio Espuelas, Jay-ar David, Reginald Bilugan, and Dante Paguio. Reinforcing the team are MPBL veteran Ron Lastimosa. Kim Franz Buco, Marvin Molines, and Gerald Monte.
