MPBL Playoffs 2022: November 05 Box Scores and Best Player of the Game

The Bacolod Bingo Plus and Batangas Embassy Chill disposed their respective opponents to earn the last two (2) tickets to the South Division Semifinals. Bacolod escaped General Santos with a 77-73 win while the home team Batangas Embassy Chill dumped Bacoor Strikers, 70-57 at the Batangas City Coliseum on November 05, 2022.

Jhan Nermal led the Bacolod Bingo Plus team with his all-around production of 21 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. He was aided by Alwyn Alday who contributed 14 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals.


The other members of the Bacolod Bingo Plus squad who contributed points are Aaron Jeruta with 10, Jayboy Solis with 10, Mark Yee and Raymund Ilagan with 7 points apiece, Jeramer Cabanag with 6 and Joel Lee Yu with 2. It was a lucky break for the Bacolod Bingo Plus as the officials failed to call an obvious out of bounds violation which could have given General Santos a last chance to tie or win the game. Bacolod will advance to the South Division semifinals against the 1st seed Zamboanga Family's Brand Sardines.

Batangas City 70- Bacoor 57

In the second game, the Batangas City Embassy Chill dominated the Bacoor City Strikers with a 70-57 rout right in front of the home fans of Batangas. Cedric Ablaza scattered 13 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals to carry Batangas City to the South Division Semifinals against Rizal Golden Coolers. Juneric Baloria added 12 points on top of 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal.

Levi Hernandez, John Rey Villanueva and Mark Justine Dela Virgen also made key contributions as they scored 10, 9 and 8 points respectively. On the other hand, Jan Jamon topscored with 18 points at 50% efficiency but his production was a little too late since most of it were scored during garbage time.
