The Bicol Volcanoes is one of the teams who are making a comeback to the MPBL (Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League) after taking a leave of absence in the 2022 MPBL Regular Season. The Volcanoes' return, however, is off to a rough start as they are still winless as of this writing.
The team is currently coached by Vis Valencia who has brought some of his players from the 7th seeded Quezon City Capitals that made a cinderella run in the playoffs by beating the then 2nd seeded Makati Skyscrapers.
James Martinez, Andrew Estrella, Peejay Barua and Mon Mabayo will lead the team together with young players in Kenz Diokno, Nick Abanto and Necky Rifarial among others.
