The University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tigresses and the Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tamaraws are the winningest UAAP women's basketball teams with eleven (11) championships each in the history of the UAAP. However, the last time the Growling Tigresses brought home the championship trophy was seventeen (17) years ago or in 2006.
Since then, the team has yet to taste another championship but they are very much prepared for another shot this season. The Growling Tigresses is composed of Rachelle Anne Ambos, Rozie Mae Jeanne Amatong, Agatha Bron, Nicole Anne Danganan, Catherine Rocel Dionisio. and Reynalyn Ferrer.
