Zamboanga Del Sur will participate in the inaugural Mindanao Leg of the Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup which is tentatively set to open on May 30, 2021 in Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte. Its representative team will be known as Alayon Zamboanga Del Sur and it will compete against other Mindanao-based basketball squads such as the Pagadian Explorers, Ozamiz Cotta, Misamis Oriental Brew Authoritea, Roxas Vanguards, Sindangan Saints, and the Kapatagan Buffalo Braves.
The champion in the Mindanao Leg will clash against KCS Mandaue Computer Specialist squad who won the Visayas Leg championship after they stunned the Talisay Aquastars in a three(3) game series at the Alcantara Civic Center in Cebu. The last team standing shall be proclaimed as the grand champion.

Alayon Zamboanga Del Sur has tapped several ex-professionals to beef up their lineup in the Mindanao Leg of the Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup. Leading the charge are Dan Sara and Eliud Poligrates who both played in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) and the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).
Dan Sara averaged 10.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game during the Lakan Season of the MPBL. He initially played for the Batangas City Tanduay Athletics before he was traded to the Bulacan Kuyas where he blossomed as their court general. Meanwhile, Eliud Poligrates had a brief stint with the Cebu Sharks before he was shipped out to the Rizal Crusaders.
Dan Sara and Eliud Poligrates will be reinforced by MPBL Champion Jeff Tajonera, a bruiser forward from the San Juan Knights. Along with Adrian Celada of the Nueva Ecijan Rice Vanguards and JR Raflores of Rizal Crusaders, he will man the paint for Alayon Zamboanga Del Sur.
