The lineup of Zamboanga Family's Brand Sardines for the MPBL 2022 Regular Season is here!
The Zamboanga Family's Brand Sardines is a professional basketball team representing the City of Zamboanga in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). The team joined the MPBL as the Zamboanga Valientes in the 2018-2019 season or the Datu Cup where it finished with a 12-13 record to settle at the 6th seed. The team defeated the Muntinlupa cagers in the first round but they eventually succumbed to the Batangas City Athletics in the South Division Semifinals.
The Team later changed its monicker from Zamboanga Valientes to Zamboanga Family's Brand Sardines in the 2019-2020 or the Lakan Cup. With the financial backing of Universal Canning Incorporated, the Team tapped UAAP standouts in Alvin Pasaol and Anton Asistio. They however, failed to reach the Finals after they were eliminated by Davao Occidental Tigers, 0-2, in the South Division Semifinals.
